Our MBK-74 kit contains all four belts that are used in these VCRs. The belts are used to drive the clutch that drives the idler and for loading and unloading. Common problems are no play, poor picture, or lines in the picture Since a belt also drives the gears that move the carriage cassette load and eject problems are also common with bad belts. This kit is a complete rubber replacement kit for these Emerson built VCRs. It contains all four belts and the pinch roller. If the pinch roller has never been replaced you really need one. If the pinch roller has a hard glaze on it or the capstan shaft has a black build up on it the pinch roller has probably been slipping. Your price for our MBK-74P kit is $12.95. The mode switch is another common cause of problems in these VCRs. Mode switch problems range from will not accept tape to takes a tape then shuts down. It is also common for a bad mode switch to cause the VCR to rewind for a few seconds then shut down shortly after power on. Soldering is required for installation.
